Default Wallpaper Megaplex aka crooks

Please Login to Remove!

I just wanted to let everyone know what a piece of crap all of the people over there at MobileSoftMarket (makers of Wallpaper Megaplex) are. I'll probably put this in the main forums as well so everyone knows. I purchased their product through Sprint. After the first day I noticed I was not receiving any updates on wallpapers whatsoever so I decided to email them about it since Sprint would know; they only sell the product, they didn't make it, i figured. Below is my original message and their reply.

Hello Mitch,

it seems you did not purchase the product at our shop. Please contact the vendor in this case. Thanks.

Subject: Enquiry from MobileSoftMarket

>I purchased your program through Sprint for my BlackBerry 8130 Pearl. Maybe I'm not doing something right, or maybe I have something setup wrong, but I am unable to get anymore wallpapers than the initial few that I have downloaded. I was able to view RSS feeds to see what else was updated, but was not able to actually see the files that were added. I still have approximately 25 days or so left in my initial 30, so please tell me how I can view updated wallpapers frequently; otherwise, I believe I will contact Sprint for a refund.

Way to pass the buck on their part. Anyway, anyone thinking of buying the product, don't. They obviously could careless about you unless you buy directly from them. Funny, I thought Sprint bought the rights to sell their product. Hope this helps.

Seems if Sprint is the reseller, that is where you should seek relief.

Good luck with it.

Obviously, I'm going to have to go to Sprint on this one. It just sucks that MobileSoftMarket couldn't be more helpful. I work for Sprint, the only thing they can do is refund the item for me. That's really not what I want. I just want the program to work properly. Oh well, the main purpose was to let anyone who is considering purchasing the product know about how well they work with customers. I posted as a reply to another thread, I just thought I'd post in main forums so other people could see as well.

@bluR: It seems you are blaming the wrong people. MobileSoftMarket is a shop like Handango, MobiHand and others. It seems they do not produce any software at all. The vendor you should contact is S4BB. I got several programs from them and also already requested a refund for one. It was no problem even though the 30 day money back guarantee was expired already

funkym beat me to it, both Sprint and MobileSoftMarket are both vendors (resellers); so while MobileSoftMarket's reply to you wasn't very clear... in hindsight and in re-reading the reply, it makes more sense now, right?

That said, S4BB has top-notch customer service. I have dealt with them in matters ranging from a file error which turned out to be a Windows permission problem, lost software (HD crash) and other tech support and they have been super -- even offering a full refund past the 30-day period on above-mentioned Windows permission problem. That is, even though the problem was not related to their software, they knew I couldn't use use the product as intended, and offered a full refund.

Response time has always been less than 12 hours, which is great considering they are not in North America.
