Talking Awesome Device!

Please Login to Remove!

I must be one of the fortunate individuals that received a nice device. I was almost convinced that the device wasn't worth getting after reading reviews that gave the device mediocre ratings. I'm a road warrior and needed a device that had more battery power, memory (after upgrading to OS5) and functionality than the BB 9000 that I had before. I am a road warrior and this device will comfortably last the duration of the day from 5am til 9pm with no problems. This device does the job well!

My ONLY gripe is that after entering my my password, there seems to be an initial 4 second lag (as if it were powering up internally). After this lag, it works like a charm. This is annoying because I would expect the phone to be a bit more responsive at startup.

As you'll see I don't post much on BB Forums, but I wanted to express how happy I am with this phone. My professional colleagues have been eye-ing my phone for the last two weeks.

Default No problems.

Upgraded from 9000 one month ago. I have had no problems and have grown to like the touch screen. Upgraded the os today to .246. Upgrade went without a hitch but takes about an hour. No input is necessary. All programs work that I use except weather bug. I haven't noticed any differences in functionality or speed between .246 and .114. Both work well. Plan to sell my 9000 on ebay as I will be keeping the torch.

Works like a charm after the software upgrade last week!! NO MORE LAG!!

Also, I swore that I would never get used to typing on screen.... I've actually gotten used to it now (landscape mode).

Re: on screen typing, I agree. I have found I only use the qwerty for longer email etc. Getting very fast and comfortable with on screen typing.

The device just keeps getting better. I just setup Jawbone with the Blackberry jawbone battery app; works great!

I want to go ahead and splurge on a blackberry torch charging pod. Has anyone bought one that also used the full body Ghost Armor protector? Does it fit easily?

I got my Blackberry OEM leather case and it looks sharp. The red stitching was a nice touch!!
