Default Wipe out or Anti Virus for BB Torch

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

So I have been enjoying my Torch untill last week, when it started freezing when hanging up or when dialing, or when closing a window, etc... A small black square appears in the centre of the screen and all I can do is wait untill it dissappears till I can punch anything on the screen or the punching pad.
Could this be a virus problem, and if it is, can anyone recommend the best way to get rid of it. Is it better to wipe my device and then re-load, or should I install an anti-virus, and in the second case, which one?

As always with great appreciation for your feedback,

Its not a virus.
The black icon [should be] a timer icon, telling you to wait, it's busy.
Sounds like too many programs running [would usually say not enough application memory, but it has 512MB and I can't imagine you've got so little left]

Thanks Midnight Draven, however, this happened from one moment to the next. And I have enough memory, so I doubt if it is a case of too many programs running.
Oh, and also, since that happened, I can no longer get online. I used to use wifi to go to Youtube, FB, etc.., I haven't been able since that happened.

what version software are you running on your torch?
I do have to say that a backup, the a wipe and reload is never a bad Idea any place you call will use that as a determining point of if it was a software issue or hardware.

basically it is a common thing to see that waiting clock like midnightdraven has said the device is busy doing something and telling you to wait while it completes that process, some people dont close down all there applications properly which lets them run in the background all the time, could case this clock issue.

but definitely do a reload on the device with current HH software and go form there.
