Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
Please Login to Remove!
Well, this is an unfortunate wake-up call... I just checked AppWorld on my PC for the BlackBerry Bridge, and while I found it, I also found that it is not currently supported by AT&T. What?
I'm trying to wait this out hoping this is just a glitch...
BlackBerry Bridge on AppWorld

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
Figures. And it is trying to buy my carrier. Before I said I didn't know yet whether to be happy or sad. Now I know. Sheesh.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
I'm trying to be patient, but it's difficult. I will be checking AppWorld again at about 10 am... hopefully the AT&T restriction is gone by then, or at least RIM or AT&T have made a statement that it won't work. Then I can make my decision what to do next.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
Same issue on Bell. Seems like bridge software has not been released yet.
Or it has something to do with the .448 software on my 9800.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
To be clear, I'm not talking about trying to locate Bridge in AppWorld on my device (which may or may not work right now as Bridge is being rolled out). I'm talking about locating Bridge in AppWorld on my PC. From there, it clearly states that AT&T is not supported, and AT&T is the only carrier listed as unsupported.
The more I think about this, the more irritated I get. I need to walk away and think about something else.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
Yes, i was referring to the App World on PC as well. Even though I can see BB bridge software, App World is not able to sync it to the 9800. I can sync/download other apps though.

Ah, ok. Let's hope this is just a last minute fluke as everything is going live.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
This SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could RIM allow something so critical to the PlayBook's operation to be at the mercy of any given carrier?
Arghhhhhhh !!!! Between RIM's extremely LOUSY marketing and roll out and its submissive relationship with ATT, if this problem carries, I am done with BlackBerry and I can't believe I'm actually considering this.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
Good news....I was able to download bridge software. Had to update App Store software first. Works perfectly on the Bell network.

This has bit me too! I'm a Rogers subscriber but currently traveling in AT&T land. I can't install the Bridge either.

Just got off the phone with ATT - looks like they're waiting to carry the device before they carry the app. Turns out, we may have to wait til summer.

Oh, man, oh, man. I didn't see that coming. Should have, but didn't.
Like others have said, RIM is botching this.

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
I saw the AT&T restriction in AppWorld, but I know there will be a workaround or something, that's just not right.

What phone number is that?
EDIT: Nevermind. That's RIM's PlayBook support number. Calling now...

Re: Bridge Currently Not Supported By AT&T
On the phone with RIM. The rep is acting confused, and I'm now on hold while she "researches" this issue.

I'm hoping this was just info from an uninformed rep for AT&T (very likely). Let's see what I can get out of the RIM support rep about this.
