Default Orange UK Browser settings BES+SBS 2003

Please Login to Remove!

It seems I have got myself in a pickle.

Just picked up a 8800 as a upgrade from Orange (UK)

I signed up for there Blackberry internet service but want to host my own BES because I run my own SBS 2003. So I registered my PIN with Blackberry and downloaded BES.

At this point I should say that I have neaver senn BES in action let alone installed it.

The Problem.

Orange send the browser settings to the handset after connecting to there service. What are these settings and how easy are they to setup?

Also any help tips with getting BES and Exchange under SBS 2003 talking would also be good.

I have worked my way through the setup guilds but still can't get the MAPI profile working. We have setup the BESAdmin account and think we have configured correctly.

Maybe some could draw out a simple setup process?

Any help would be great!!

Mark

Hi Mark,

Your BlackBerry 8800 has a BlackBerry BIS plan and that can not work with the BES. You need to upgrade your BIS plan to an Enterprise plan. This is a bit more expensive.
Then you can perfectly work with your BlackBerry and the BES Express on SBS 2003 will work fine.

Regards,
Bob

Yes they do...

Suggest you start reading this document which

http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...es-thread.html

whilst relating mainly to Exchange rather than SBS, a lot of the funcitonality is the same 'under the hood'
