What kind of media card are you using in your 8320?
Please Login to Remove!
I'm new to the smartphone world and have never used a media card in my phone before.
I know that the 8320 accepts microSD cards up to 4GB, but will all cards and brands be compatible with the device? Are there any cards that are notoriously incompatible with BBs?
I'd love to get a 4GB card, but I've had trouble finding more than one or two in the micro size and they seem to be significantly more expensive and possibly less reliable than the 2GB models.
Anyway, what kind of card is everyone here using? And if you got a great deal, where from? I've found that newegg.com generally has the best deals and user-reviews for anything tech-related ( here's a list of their top-rated microSD cards for anyone else in the market), but they don't have any 4GB microSD cards.

Can one save Word or Excel files in the micro SD card and access them from the blackberry?
Also, buy.com is offering a 2GB micro card with USB reader for $25+. Not bad.

I found the Sandisk 4GB microSDHC card for $57 at newegg. If it's working in your 8320 for you I think I'll order it because that's a great deal.

Just picked it up from best buy and 8320 recognizes there is a card but won't let me use it. It says to format it, which I am trying to do but it then says format failed. Anyone have any ideas??

If you have a card reader, I would try formatting it on your computer.

Yeah I will try that when I get home. I was just hoping to either get it working or return it before leaving the best buy parking lot. *#@+!

FYI... Newegg also sells a Kingston 4gb card for the same price. I ordered that one because it comes with a Micro -> SD adapter. I could use that since I don't think my card reader has a slot for MicroSD.

Do it on the PC.
Newegg has the best price on the 4gb card right now. Order one from there, once it arrives return the card you got at best buy.

This is weird, the pc won't recognize the micro SDHC card either. I am using the Scandisk USB reader that came with the SDHC card. I guess the card is just defective? I will head back to best buy and see if a new one solves the problem.

kd78,
You got the Sandisk 4GB microSDHC card, right? Let us know if you get it to work because that's the same one I'd like to get (now $57 from newegg) as long as it works on the 8320.

It works now. Exchanged the first one that didn't let me format and the second worked like a charm with no format necessary. So, yes, the sandisk 4gb micro sdhc works in the tmo 8320.

i just saw the 6g micro sdhc card and was wondering if anyone had gotten their hands on one. the sandisk website recommends only the 4gb and lower, so i was curious.
Sandisk Corporation SDSDQ--6144-A11M - 6GB MICRO SDHC CARD W/ADPATER &
also from the sandisk website the 6gb card operates faster than the 4gb card, will look in manual for speed rating of phone.
thanks
Pedro
