Default Trying to install BES, having problems

Please Login to Remove!

I can't get the setup window to even stay open long enough. It will open up then close out fast.

Event log shows this

Faulting application Setup.exe, version 4.1.6.20, faulting module Setup.exe, version 4.1.6.20, fault address 0x001159df.

I've tried our original install 4.1.6.15 and .16 and no go. This is a brand new system with Windows 2003 Standard R2 with a functional 2003 Exchange. I been researching this for a couple days and coming up with no results. Anyone have any

I bet you are running the service packs, download a trial copy of BES and use your SRP/CALs and all should be good.

Only BES Pro can be installed on Exchange and be supported.

It can be but hardly enyone does it since it is not supported.

Maybe thats why it crashed, unless a disk went bad.

Disk went bad. Previous server had 4 drives in it with RAID10 going so this is why we are rebuilding. Let me look for the paper work and see what exactly this is

ICK, not a good design choice.
What is new system and how many users.

Mine is
Raid 1 36 gig 10k OS/Public folders
Raid 1 73gig 15k Tlogs
Raid 1 300 gig 15k Store

240 users, 45 BES, 35 WM/iphones.

Not the one who designed it lol just the guy who fixes stuff. The new system is a dell optiplex 760 with one drive. Aprox 21 users. It only has exchange on it, it reads info from another server on site there. Thats a dell power edge 1900 with 500 gig drives raid1 going. BES will only have 5 users if I can ever get it going

try looking in "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\Installer". You should see some setup20901xxxxxxxxxx files. Reading them might help.
