Default HELP: Message duplication issue (OS 5)

Please Login to Remove!

I recently updated my 9700 to OS 5.0.0.423. A bunch of my emails from before the switch are showing up multiple times, and can not be deleted.
When upgrading, i got a message that only 99 of 504 emails transfered. I restored from the loader backup afterwards. After seeing this issue, I restored messages from the backup I manually made before loading the new OS.
Has anyone seen this before? This is driving me crazy!

Notes:
I have pulled my battery.
I have restored messages from multiple backups.
Multiple messages show up in a search too and cannot be deleted from there either.

(I am posting here instead of the 9700 forums in case it's not limited to my device type)

EDIT: I just discovered I can't delete ANY emails!!!
