Default Is it just me, or is the 9105 real fun ?

Just dumped my 4.3" android phone as yearned for a smaller device, a keyboard (actually was loosing calls as so fiddly just to answer the damn thing) and a battery that lasts more then 24 hours.

The 9105 is small, sharp screen, loud earpiece volume, great phone reception, real keyboard - so easy to pick up and make calls, and its a pleasure to get emails instantly.

The only downside is that you don't want to type more then a few words for any reply, but as a mostly email viewer is great.

Also the browser seems much improved since I used BB many years ago.

So very pleased at the moment, especially since they are now so cheap in the UK

Any recommendations whether to use the latest OS5 or the new OS6 rom ? The OS6 rom seems to be a bit beta still - or is it prertty stable ?

My advice is get a couple months use behind you before you think about upgrading the OS. If you are happy, you may want to leave well enough alone. If you want to see what you may be missing, there is plenty of time.

If you do decide to upgrade, prepare yourself to downgrade if you have to. Also make sure you have done a backup and that you have no issues with your computer, etc. Doing an upgrade is easy enough but not risk free.

On OS 6, I cannot say for sure one way or the other that you will probably like it, or not. I did not, and went back to OS 5.

i have the same opinion on the subject, i had a 9100 and i left os 5 on cause os 6 is a hog, anyways on these devices with 256 mb, and its slow, you have a hard time doing stuff on os 6 with the pearl, if you want my advice stay clear of os 6 for now on a pearl, anyways 5 is still recent and works like a charm when configured correctly, my 2 cents
