Unhappy Black Berry 7250 Ringtones/Bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

I got a Blackberry 7250 Phone off of EBay. Seems to be a good phone except that I cant get ring tones. Listing was misleading about the Blue tooth. Is there anyway at all to get ring tones on this phone? Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated!

Check here for info about your model -- check all the tabs.

BlackBerry - BlackBerry 7250 Wireless Handheld Device | With Phone, Bluetooth, Email & GPS

That says it's Bluetooth capable. I'm not sure if your model supports mp3 ringtones. Someone else here will know. If it doesn't support mp3, it will support midi ringtongs. This site has mp3 ringtones and a few midi ringtones, and it's free.

tuneusin.com Go there on your BlackBerry browser and you should be able to download them directly to the device. You need a BlackBerry data plan also.

Thanks Daphne for the reply! Sorry about all the posts! I had posted one earlier today before church and no one ever answered so I thought maybe I was on the wrong thread and hit a few that kinda related to what I was needing to know.

I dont have the internet turned on... on my phone through Cellular South. I can get it turned on. If I do that should I be able to connect on tuneusin.com and get a few things?

What is the Blackberry data plan?

The BlackBerry data plan is what gives you internet access, email and lots of other things.

What do I need a Data Plan for? - BlackBerryFAQ

There are some things you can do without the data plan, but you don't get all the great BlackBerry features. It has to be a BlackBerry data plan for internet and email, which is not the same as a generic data plan.

Ok... I hate to sound stupid about this, but are you saying that getting the Internet activated through my phone service Cellular South wont really work?

That it has to be the BlackBerry Data Plan?

Do you happen to know the fee for that?

Thanks so much for your help! I have tried all week long to talk to the person I bought this phone from and they have just give me the run around I just wish they had been up front an honest to begin with.

Yes, the BlackBerry data plan is what gives you internet and email, and is through your mobile carrier, Cellular South.

Mobile carriers typically have internet or data plans for other phones besides BlackBerrys, but they are not the same as a BlackBerry data plan.

I'd suggest you read though the BlackBerryFAQ here. That will help things make more sense.

BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

Also there should be a help section on your device with all the basics for using the phone.

Oh, I don't know how much the BlackBerry data plan is with your carrier. You'll need to check their website or call them. It typically runs from about $20 to $30 a month.

Even though it's after the fact, I'd suggest you read this info about buying a used BlackBerry off eBay.
