Welcome to the BBForums.

Your native OS and the BlackBerry Attachment Service will view PDF files.

Otherwise, there is not a free alternative. You can get a free trial on BeamReader.

Wirelessly posted

Os 4.5 has docs to go. It will read pdf files but you can not modify them without buying it.

PDFToGo is only included in the Premium version of DocumentsToGo, is it not?

JSanders-- is that right? I have the Bold with the Blackberry Attachment Service installed--- when I try to read a PDF, I get a message that says this type of document "cannot be viewed on my device". Am I doing something wrong?

JSander's is correct, your BB can view PDF's but ONLY as attachments in emails, it can NOT view PDFs that are saved on device or media memory.

PDF To Go is included in the Premium version of Documents To Go and it is ONLY a viewer.

To my knowledge there is NO software on the BB to create PDF files.

I get the message that says this type of document "cannot be viewed on my device" even when I try to open a PDF attached to an email. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using Bold 4.6.0.237. Defintely can't open any PDF, even if attached to an email.

Are you on a BES?

They are not password protected or secure PDF's right?
