Voice Mail Notifier Icon when there is no Voicemail?
Please Login to Remove!
Hi Guys, BB Newbie here...
I just got rid of my Q for the Storm...
So far, it's a Love/Hate thing...
One thing I can't figure out... On the home page, right below the time and date, is a little number 3 next to a filmstrip icon. Every phone I have ever owned used that as the icon for voicemail. But my voicemailbox is completely empty now. So is my email (on the device anyway) The iceon looke like this: O_O
Nope... I wrote down every message last night and wiped the mailbox clean (over the phone). As I did it, the visual voicemail followed exactly. So now I have a completely empty mailbox, no saved messages or anything. Visual shows empty, but that little voicemail icon is still showing 3.
I saved all of my emails in my saved messages, to clear out my inbox. When I go there an mark them all unread, my email count goes up to 90, but the little O_O icon stays at 3. Now this is a challenge! I shall not sleep!
I'm having the same issue.. I've pulled the battery, left myself VM.. No unread msgs.. And still the little note won't go away.
It happened like this.. I had VM in the box. I installed Visual VM, then listened to the VM via Visual VM.. Then Deleted it.. Visual VM shows that it has been deleted. But the normal notifcation won't go away.
I am having a similar problem, but instead of the voice mail notification icon on the screen, the red notifier LED won't stop blinking. I had no voicemails in my mailbox when I installed and activated Visual Voicemail. I got a voicemail today and the icon popped up and the LED started blinking red. Checked the voicemail in the VVM program and then clicked on erase. No voicemails appear and then I exit out of the program. The notification icon disappeared, but the red LED keeps blinking. The only way to stop the LED from blinking is to do a battery pull.
I read that you can access the visual voicemail notification rules in the ringer profiles, but when I go in there, I don't see the "Other" category that the Visual Voicemail is supposed to be in.
I've tried deleting the application and reinstalling it. Still no go.
FYI... I did the OS upgrade and so far, the problem hasn't returned. I didn't reinstall Visual Voicemail, but on the other hand, I haven't gotten any messages either.
