Default BB 8800 problems will not turn on

Please Login to Remove!

Having problems with my son's BB8800, he came down to me the next morning saying it wont turn on had a white screen with the egg timer kept on turning on and off, now the red led will flash twice every 3 secs or so, but will not turn on.
tried the nuke process, that will not work either, when plugged in it will see the device and will see in the port USB-PIN 250D 6760, press next and will say will load 4.5.0 system software core software and phone install, it will then try and load it but will not get past erasing as will get stuck every time. battery changed aswell.

dubburke, even if we thought we knew what you are referring to, we could be wrong and you could still be referring to something else entirely. You should provide a link to a procedure you followed, or else explain exactly what you did.

... In the meantime,

If there is a microSD card in the blackberry, remove it. Also go ahead and remove the SIM card for now. Replace the battery after waiting a minute or two. See what happens. If it boots up, remove the batter again and replace the SIM card and see what happens. If all is well, then try with the microSD card.

If still no joy, take a look at:

How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

and

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

Wipe with JL_CMDER and then install the OS.
