i was using whats app perfectly fine then i changed my plan and i restarted my blackberry 8700 and then whats app wouldnt work and said if you have recently installed it on another device it will need reinstalling so i deleted it and now i cant reinstall it because it says my os is not up to date. i am running 4.5 but says i need 4.6

so my question is: where can i download os 4.6 for blackberry 8700?

Steeevo, there is no 4.6 for the 8700. The latest is 4.5. The 8700 is a very old BlackBerry.

Ok, i found a cod file but in desktop manager when i try to add an applictaion it wont let me select the file from the folder?

what am i doing wrong

Why not try Whatsapp support page, and check with other users to see if they have downloaded and/or installed an older version.

I have not used an 8700 in 5 years. it is an old device and you cant expect much to be written for it. Most developers are writing for SO 5 and higher.

I see some 8300 on ebay for about 50 bucks.

Actually I met with the same problem and Google brought me here when I searched for solutions on the web. I think the problem is Whatsapp no longer support os 4.6. Now I use Whatsapp on BB9700 and Android. Time to move on,
