Default Blackberry z30 Level 1 issue

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a Z30 for work but IT does not know how they fully work so i have to figure this out on my own.

Problem is when a Level 1 msg comes in, its flagged as red but my sound is the same as any other email and NOT the one i set in my Level 1 notification. This is my only issue i need help with.

I created a level 1 notification:
System Settings>Notifications>Level 1
Sound: on
Tone is set (different from any other tone)
Vibrate is off
LED is on
Instant preview is on

I created a Important rule:
Blackberry Hub>More>Settings>Priority Hub>Manage Rules>On Call
Here i created a rule to flag all emails from the servicedesk to my account with 'Client Impact Critical' in the subject to be 'important' and Enable Level 1 Alert is checked off.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out here.

See what others say. What you are doing sounds right to me. All I can tell you is Level 1 audible alerts were never working for me on Z10, then I reloaded the OS (for a different reason) and restored data and settings and the alerts worked after that.

Blackberry forgot to include level 1 notification in OS10 prior to 10.2.1 so depending on your version you my need to upgrade.
My Z10 does not have the option at the OS level I have 10.1.0

I figure he isn't running the earlier OS without Level 1 option or he wouldn't see it in settings.

Agreed but just in case I thought I would ad the info. Also not sure why the OP is referencing the HUB settings. I thought the settings on the BB would be all that was needed. I may be wrong. Thinking of upgrading to see how it works.......maybe

Sorry for the delay response, i'll check the version and see if there is a possibility of upgrading the OS. This is not my physical phone, its a co-workers but we are soon to all get upgrades.

If need be i'll reply back again!

Thanks for the info so far....our IT is saying level 1 alerts are no more and a thing of the past, for BB and for other platforms like iPhone as well. Sucks when you need to be alerted while sleeping and do not want to be woken up for any and every email.
