Smile Aliph Jawbone?

Please Login to Remove!

I don't talk on the phone a whole bunch (I use my blackberry mainly for E-mail and internet, instant messaging.)

Is the Aliph Jawbone worth it?

How many of you have one? Do you end up using it alot? And do you like it?

I wouldn't recommend getting that expensive of a bluetooth headset if you don't talk on the phone a lot. You could get a midrange Motorola H700 for cheaper. That is what I use.

Agreed

If you don't talk much I would go with an H700 or plantronics voyager 521 or something less expensive

Agree #3. No sense spending that kind of money when something else might work as well.. I use the Jaba BT-250v and it is very good.

I have a Moto H500, I have seen them as low as $25 on ecost.com recently. That has been a good bluethooth earpiece.

i recently got the jawbone from the same place for $77.

I had the Motorola headset (H700) and it was awful.

I believe that you get what you pay for. You can get the jawbone for around $80 now.

The sound is awesome on both ends...

I have the Jabra 250v and it's my favorite, had it since it first came out. Picked up a Jawbone off ebay for $20 shipped and still trying to get used to it. Also have the H700 and it's just collecting dust until one of my kids decide they want it.

I love my JawBone. Only one complaint: fitting to my ear and eardrum has been a pain in the @$$!!! I've tried the Jabra eargels, and came to the conclusion that one of the five fitments that came with the unit works the best, but it's far from a perfect fit or perfectly conducting the sound to my ear. However, for extended conversations (30 minutes +) it is my preferred method. Saves from getting "hot-ears."

Everybody has told me that I sound clear and crisp. Just wish my audio were moreso that way.

Really?!?!? I used the longest Jabra EarGel and it increased the volume so much that I had to turn it down and it's very comfortable! Are you not using the earloop anymore (fit problems) I still use the Ear loop and found after many months of struggling two handed to get it on that if I bent it out a little I can now put it one with one had in a heartbeat!

I love my jawbone, think I paid $99 for it and for me it was worth it. I do agree though that it was hard to fit for a while. I finally got used to the ear loops.

Not a fan of the Jawbone. When it worked, it worked well. The ear clip has broken twice on me, which granted could be my fault but they still broke. Charger broke as well. Finally threw in the towel...

I really like my Jawbone, but shop around--I think I paid $85 or so through Amazon a few months ago when the local kiosk had them for $115. Be careful inserting/removing the ear clips, I broke one the first day through my own carelessness.

My jawbone just went into early retirement and I"m back to my Jabra 250v. The Jawbone isn't loud enough for me when in a noisy area like shopping with the wife and kids or when driving down the road with the radio on. I have bad hearing to begin with and the Jabra is so loud that I can keep the volume on 1/2 and still hear great.

How do you all find the jawbone for voice dialing?

I love it for voice dialing. But I do have the same issue that Audit has, it would be nice if it were louder. I read somewhere that someone put a better fitting ear bud on it and it was a bit louder so I will try that.
