He asked an 8800 related question that is of interest to many of us. What special screen protector section are you referring to?

OP, Shieldzones is advertizing them now, but they are expensive. I was hoping to hold out for Best Skins Ever, but I sure am worried about scratching my 8800 before they make them. Let us know what you decide and how it works out.

For my 8700c I use Invisishield, do a search here and they've received many favorible comments. I don't know if they have one avaible yet for the 8800. It works great.

I use the screen protectors from NavProtector. They work great and the people are nice. They should have the right size for the 8800.

I just installed ShieldZone on my 8800. Excellent fit and ShieldZone is arguably the best protector there is. It is expensive, but has a lifetime warranty. It covers the entire device, not just the screen (excepting the keyboard of course).

ShieldZone here too. Was great to install (nice that you can slide it around to get the right fit).

Recommended.

Or, you could go to Best Buy in the US and buy a PSP, or DS screen cover and cut it to fit for $5. It's made by boxwave and it's the same as the custom fit $19 ones....

I just bought two BodyGaurdz full body shield like the ones from shieldzone or best skins ever however these look like they fit every nook and cranny so even the sides don't get banged up. It is 24.95 for 2 but shipping is like 25.
I will let you know when they get here...maybe a day or two.
God i love my 8800.

IMO, it doesn't need a screen protector. Heck, I drove over an 8700 and cracked the LCD but the screen itself wasn't scratched.

I've used the Shieldzone for my last three phones, Moto Q, Pearl, and 8800. It's absolutely the best protector you can get. Can't even tell it's applied and it never comes off. The full body shield also gives the 8800 a better grip, and it feels less slippery in the hand. I ordered mine the same night I ordered my phone and got it two days later through priority mail. Very reliable and great company. Would never go with anything else.

I have not heard of anyone succeeding in removing and reapplying Shieldzone or BSE. If the bubbles are few and really small, you'll probably soon forget them. My experience is it is very difficult to achieve perfection when applyig the skins, but you should easily be able to get close.

is it possible to take it off the screen, and buy a new screen protector from SheildZone and put that one on? Or just taking it off the screen messes up the screen ? What is the adhesive used to make the plastic stick?

There will be no residue left behind if you remove just the screen protector section of the ShieldZone. Regarding the bubbles .... have you tried to gently squeegee the bubbles out to the sides -- that sometimes works, and the air will tend to escape from the bubbles over time

I don't know.. Screen protector? I don't know how you treat your BBs, but I'd get a new one every 18-24 months. I don't baby it, and I've scuffed, dropped my BB many times.. The screen is still fine, and its coming up on its 18m!! Just waiting for any new BB's on VZW... Come on Cyclone!!

I see BB's as built to last... (as long as you don't INTENTIONALLY abuse it)
