Default Curve extened boot time after BBM update

Please Login to Remove!

I updated the new verion of BBM today. After doing so it asked me to reboot. I did so and it would not reboot. the screen stayed blank and the red light kept flashing. I tried pulling the battery and that did nothing. After about 45 min the phone booted up and everything was fine. I then tried a soft booy (ctrl-alt-delete) and the same thing happed. Except this time it only took 15 minutes to reboot. I then tried a hard boot by pulling the battery and this time it rebooted right away. I then did another soft boot and it worked ok

I was just wondering if you guys have any idea as to what may have happened during the initial reboots. Could it be related to the BBM update?

thanks for any help you can give.

How much memory do you have left? sounds like it may be low.

My BB boots from a cold start in about 10 minutes and I have the new BBM. 15 minutes seems too long but it may be normal for the model you have.
If everything works normal after boot it may be ok.

It only did it a couple of times and now it boots up just fine 2 min. I was just worried about the flashing red light and blank screen. From what I read that usualy means something is wrong.

It will be blank for a while and the red led is normal during boot.

Yeah but a flashing red light and a black screen for 45 min does not seem normal to me. It never did that before.

If it's ok now it may have just been the first time boot and the OS was doing some type of organization.

Well everything is ok now. I have booted it a good 10 times now and it boots up in 2 min. It just had me really worried.
