Default "Show Filed" messages problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Got a bit of weird problem, my boss had just converted to a Z10 from and 9900 and loves it but he has a process of using Outlook rules to move messages into sub folder from certain staff. He then has "Show Filed Messages" set to off so they show in the main mailbox on his BB. This worked fine on the 9900 but whatever we set it to on the Z10 they aren't displayed.

I've tested this on my Z10 and its the same, whenever emails are filed they disappear from the inbox display regardless of what "Show Filed Messages" is set to.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

We are on BES10 and Exchange 2010.

Thanks,
Matt

We found the solution, it was pretty simple after all. Under the work account, choose "Edit folder settings" and then choose "Sync All Email Folders".

With "show filed messages" set to off, you will see the messages in the message list, but since the messages you refer to are governed by rules to move them as they come in, they will appear with a folder icon beside them on the left. If you delete them from the message list, you are deleting them from the folder, so you just need to remember that! If those folders are not synced, the messages won't appear on the device, as you probably now know!
