Question Follow Up Flags

Please Login to Remove!

I haven't been able to figure this out.... If i can do this, it will be extremely helpful.

Scenario- it is 11pm, i get a flurry of emails, of course i read them.... i see that out of 10 emails, 3 emails require action on my part the next day. I have about 20 different folders in my exchange mailbox and the mail gets disperised according to rules on the server...

Is there anyway to assign a "follow up" flag like in outlook on the emails that i need to do the next morning?

I have been just leaving those emails unread... but it would be nice to have the same functionality as outlook because that feature is very helpful for me.

I know there is a new piece of software that just came out called follow-up... but i don't want an alarm or anything elaborate for my blackberry.... I just want the email in the morning on my outlook to have the red flag so i remember to do it.

Can this be done?

Default Possible workaround

I'm not sure if everyone works the same as me, but this was my workaround.

I key off of the green number beside my follow-up folder. I created a new follwow-up folder under my inbox in outlook. I edited the properties to show total number of messages in that folder as opposed to unread. Now whenever I have something to follow up on in outlook, I'll copy it to that folder. I can also "file" the message into that folder from my BB. This way I'm looking at the same thing on both outlook and my BB.

Hope this helps someone.

I have this same problem. A follow up flag would be ideal.

Thanks for the tip bpinksto. Sounds like a good plan, I'm going to give it a shot.

Follow up by Link2 is the only solution I have found for this - it inserts an appt reminder from an email into the calendar for later viewing - kinda cool that it attaches the whole email body into the note of the appointment item -hoping for some updates soon/new features.
