Default Hellooo BB world!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys! New to the world of Blackberry, right now have an Iphone but thinking of getting a blackberry...debating between the 9000 and the 8900. Like the 9000 because of the 3G and the bigger display. 8900 because it is compact and the key seem much better for texting and e-mailing. Got any advice? I tried the search but could not find any help...

Thanks in Advance...

Welcome. Try looking through the 9000 or 8900 device forums. I'm sure you will find something.

Really it comes down to preference since they are both great devices.
For me it came down to two things... I didn't need and can't use 3G and I tend to keep my phone in my pocket, so smaller the better, so for me the 8900 was a no brainer.

If you have a chance to hold both in your hand I would recommend it, for me the 8900 just felt perfect to hold. Also the 8900's screen seemed a tad more crisp compared to the 9000 in my opinion. Also the camera on the 8900 is 3.2MP vs the 2 on the 9000.

Wirelessly posted (8820)

Welcome to the group, Asakura Yoh! No opinion on your question except to advise going to a store and playing with each, if you haven't already.

From my experience playing with those phones, 8900 way better. Maybe the iPhone over Storm

Thx Everyone for the worm welcome! Hmmmm..some good suggestions. what I will be using either the 9000 or 8900 will be for mostly text messaging and checking and sending email, and browse the net/msn occasionally. I played with both of the phones and It seems that the 8900 has a better keyboard, the keys are spread out more and seem easier to press. Leaning towards the 8900, only think that is keeping me from making the commitment is the 3G! On my Iphone right now I use the net alot and I am not sure how much going non 3G will make a difference..
