Default can't get google maps to work on my 8320 either

it starts to load and then I have the same message show up.

I do have a data plan, and I am connected to wifi right now. I received the same message when trying to connect over the phone via the t-mobile edge network. But I do NOT have a BB specific plan. are all of my apps going to require a BB specific plan to get on the network?

Doomsayer, the 8520 does not have gps, so you can only scroll through the maps, it will not find you.

And as for blackberry specific data plans, some apps do require them, ie googlemaps.

This isn't true i can "find" my location in google maps, it use the antennas near you to point you, is not acurate, cause my home is 2 blocks away from where i actually live, but it gets you close.

But the 8520 does not have GPS. I have a twitter acct that posts my location when I put something up from where my cell phone is around, but this phone does not have GPS. As the above said, most likely it's cellular triangulation with what you are using.

What I said about the 8520 not having GPS is true. Ask anyone here. Or http://www.blackberry.com.

I know that's true, you're completly right, i say that the "it will not find you" part isn't true.

The it will not find you was referring to the map he was using in the 8520, I have it on mine as well, the preloaded one, were you can just scroll around and stuff.

Sorry for not being clearer
