Hi there,

I only bought my new BlackBerry Curve 8520 yesterday, and up until about 2 hours ago it was working beautifully. However, as soon as I had synced it with my email account, I ran into problems.

Every SMS I have received since has been notified with the icon and sound alert as usual. However, when I go into the 'SMS and MMS' folder, where I had previously been able to see all messages I had sent and received (both read and unread), I can now no longer see the new SMS that has come through. I have to go Menu>View Folder>SMS Inbox to view the new messages, which is both inconvenient and annoying.

Furthermore, when reply to SMS messages, the usual thread system comes up, but I cannot see any of the received messages in the thread anymore - only the ones which I have sent. This makes it slightly more confusing in terms of what I am messaging, as well as rendering the whole thread system pretty much pointless.

It would be brilliant if someone could help me with this issue.

What OS are you running? (Options>About) and it'll be a v.x.x.xx number. You may wish to consider upgrading to OS 5.0 for your device. It's stickied in the top of this forum. I believe this should fix your problem.

While in SMS and MMS folder, goto Menu->Options->Inbox Settings and then choose which messages you want in that folder.
