No as this is a firmware update, you need to do it from a PC.

I am wondering if anyone know of an OS that has Cantonese Input support? I installed the CSL version; however, there are no Cantonese Input support. Rogers previously had it on the Curve as part of its Chinese version Blackberry Code package; however, there is none on their website.

Any help will be great.

Thanks in advance.

Default Rogers

Rogers has the same software as well for those of you who want something more local.

h**ps://your.rogers.com/web_auth/downloads.asp?product=Wireless

Just click on the software for "Bold" and it starts downloading. Same versions.

Anybody have this issue? I had upgraded to platform 4.0.0.155 (v4.6.0.162) and now I keep on getting dropped signal and it will not come back. I have to manually turn the radio off and then on again to grab any signal. What's worse is that it will be dropped again and stay signal-less until I turn it off and on again.

I will try the new platform and see if this will help but it did not happen with the version my unit came with.

Thanks.

My mistake! I already do have the updated version as listed in this post. So this is my problem with the updated OS. Anyone else have this problem?

Wirelessly posted

I have definitely never seen that on 162 here.

I have yet to have any issues at all, very pleased with this firmware release IMHO.

Yes, me too except for this annoying problem. does it have anything to do with the vendor profile which we should remove from the install?

Edit: An older version of the OS from Telstra seems to work and allows Japanese input as it should. (v4.6.0.144) Who knows why newer versions don't show the Japanese input option even when it's installed?

I've installed this OS over my European one in order to be able to input and read Japanese. However, while this allows me to read Japanese, and localise the whole device in Japanese, I can never use the Japanese Romaji Input method.

Even the Chinese Pinyin input method appears when I tried installing that, just not the Japanese one...

Any suggestions anyone? Thanks.

Look at the top of the 9000 forum, ther's the newest 4.6.0.247 version. You are running a very very old version of the firmware.
