Default Delete Components

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I would like to delete a component from the BAS but am havving an issue doing so...I recieve the below errors

Are you sure you want to delete this instance? Clicked YES

Before you can delete a Controller instance, you must complete the following tasks:
• The Controller software must be uninstalled.

If the machine is inaccessible it will be assumed the software has been uninstalled.

***ERROR***


• The Controller software has not been uninstalled. Please uninstall prior to deletion.

The controller service has been uninstalled from the machine in question...

When you say "The controller service has been uninstalled..." what do you mean? You can't uninstall just the service. Do you mean you uninstalled the entire BES on the machine in question?

Can you give a bit more detail to the environement. How many BES servers etc??

My mistake
Yes i uninstalled the server totally the above is the error message i get when trying to delete those components...

All distributed components

2x BES Servers HA
1x Collaboration
1x Attachment server
3x Admin consonle
1x monitoring server

So you're trying to remove all the components associated with that server then? Have you tried any of the other associated components first?

Yes thats exactly what im trying, because now when i add a new user that server appears as an option to add a new BE user to, this has now duplicated onto Monitoring and add new server :(
