Hi have just taken delivery of a new z30 charged successfully a couple of times but then plugged it in and battery drained and now won't work sent back to company I bought off and their inspection suggests I damaged the charger port any known issues with this model or have I just been unlucky

I haven't heard or seen anything to suggest that the Z30's charging ports are damaged on delivery, but as always ymmv (Your mileage may vary)

Not saying you did but some people have a tendency to wiggle the connector when either inserting or removing the power connector. It only takes a few times to damage the port on any phone.

I have seen many micro USB ports broken from putting in upside down from what it was supposed to be. its not covered under warranty either
