when i type one letter on the keyboard it will come up as several you can just imagine how aggravating this is, i have changed the keypad membrane out once already but did no good, can someone tell me if there is something else i can try, or do you think maybe i just got a bad membrane ?

Why did you do the replacement in the first place? Don't know exactly how the keypad works, but my thought would be there is other damage beyond what your replaced. (Or you did more damage in the course of replacing the part. Or you made some error.)

Again, not knowing anything more, and no one else has responded, I would suspect a bad part to be the least likely answer.

i made the change because it was doing the same thing pryor to the change, but after i changed it it ws fine for a few days then back to multiple letters again

same problem here. but mine was ok since my bb was dead after shutting down to do battery pull. i went to mobile technician shop and cost me $35. he said he replace and ic and my keyboard problem is disappear, but the technician only give a week of warranty. will update a week later

My husband and I have been having the same problem. I have a Pearl 9100 and he has a Bold 9780. When it started on my phone I thought it was a keyboard problem; now that it happens on his phone also, it seems like it may be a software issue? We have done all of our updates. . .any thoughts?
