Thanks

I would say that a day or two, maybe even less, is needed to figure out and get used to suretype... But you can turn it off also if you need to.

I hated the iedea of sure type and held off as long as I could. I now feel really stupid its alot easier than you think. It will take you a week maybe two to get the full hang of it. I started out doing multitap and then broke into sure type now I can type pretty fast on it the key is dont correct yourself let the device learn

It does take some getting used to, but it's not bad. You can't turn off the auto text, but you can edit the word list. I guess if you deleted everything from the list, you would effectively turn it off, but it is useful.

I have been thinking of switching to a 7100i also. Its easy to get used to took me only 10 15 minutes. However i like the larger screen.

I am thinking of switching too. I've had the 7510 and 7520 for many years and I'm kind of nervous about the change because I can type most things without even looking at the keyboard and I type faster than I can on the normal pc.

I had the 7100i and now I have the 7130e with Verizon. You get the hang of it very quickly. And the screen is so much better than the 7520.

Yes, you can turn off suretype. Some people get used to it right away and for others, it takes a little while to get used to. I have used both. I actually can type rather fast using the suretype once I got the hang of it. I think I type faster with suretype than the full qwerty keyboard.

Press trackwheel in, scroll down to Enable Multitap...Lot easier. I have a 8700c and a 7100i for work...Took a couple of days to get used to...Now it is a breeze....
