OK, so my friend and I have a Pearl and I downloaded some OTA themes (Zen/Neon, etc.) and they installed and worked fine. For some reason though, on his, they download, complete and never show up in the themes list. There are no error messages and I have tried every theme on the site. I havent tried through the desktop yet but OTA should work. I am pretty sure everything is the same on our phones. I tried uninstalling them from applications (they show up fine), reinstalling, rebooting... etc. No luck... any ideas?

I even upgraded and those themes still won't show up. I just gave up..

LOL All i had to do was upgraded my OS now it works..

He has a refurbished one he just bought from ATT. I will have him check the OS version. Why should it matter though? They are just themes. Will installing a new OS wipe the entire phone clean? I will post when the OS version is retrieved.

During the OS upgrade process your data is backed up and restored. However, during the upgrade, yes your device is wiped clean and the OS restored followed by a data restore.

Themes are made for specific OS versions.

He is on 4.2.07 and i am on 4.2.1.96. I know the upgrades are on here, but are there specific AT&T OS upgrades?

Yes there are, and they will be on the ATT website, at least the latest one will be there. The usually don't leave the prior versions available for download, you have to find them elsewhere, like the stickys on this site or a different Blackberry site. There will be links to them. I'd just make sure I had the latest ATT OS myself, then all themes should work.
