I hear rumors that next quarter that nextel/sprint will release a dual mode pda phone, Seeing as both companies carry BB I asume it will be a 8700 model, just what I hear, would be nice though

I highly doubt that, and this is the wrong section to post this in.

Could be within the next 12 months. Sprint is even further behind Verizon, as hard as that may seem to believe.

I actually heard the same rumor from our Sprint corporate rep last week. She said that that ultimately the devices would be designed for phone & data on CDMA and walkie talkie on IDEN. Of course when she told me this I envisioned a CDMA blackberry rubberbanded to a Nextel i730 in one really ugly holster : )

^^^That's FUNNY right there!! ^^^
But not that funny, because that's kinda what I'm doing now: i830 is sitting in my pocket for DC, 8700 TMO sitting on my hip for email (once I get it all setup)!!

Hell, what do you think a 7520 is... dang near as thick as rubber banding three phones together and almost as heavy...it's HUGE... I thought the 6510 was big until I upgraded to the 7510 which I thought was a lightweight compared to the brickberry I carry now.

yea it maby be thick, but i know ive dropped my 7520 a few times, i bet it can take a hit better than a tmo 7290 or an 8700, i like the sturdy feel of nextel phones, too bad they cant get rid of the antennas
