Hi All,

Is there a way for me to make a call right when I am reading the text message by just hitting one key (like a send key)? I was able to do this with my old Samsung phone when viewing the text message I can just hit the Send Key, the Green Key, then it would be able to automatically dialing the friend's phone number. Somehow, I am not able to do this with my 8220. Anyone know if this is possible?

i scroll up to the name and hit the send key. works for me

I did the same but it did not work. It just brought me back to the place where I usually place a call and a list of most recent people that I called but not the person that texted message me. Did i do anything wrong? Do i need to setup on how my text messages should be view like in the certain way so that i can just scroll to the name only. Now when I scroll to the name, part of the text message also included. Sorry if I confuse you or anyone but I just can't seem to do it.

in the middle of updating to latest OS. so i cannot check. i will post tomorrow if it works for me or not

got device error 3 times already. doing a full wipe and install now

Hope it will go smoothly for you! Updating to latest OS....hmmm....is this something I need to know/learn how to do as well. My phone been having the "App Error 523" a few times now while I was playing the game WordMole. I have posted this in another thread. But one thing at a time. I hope to get your answer on the text messaging thing for now. =)

Make sure the curser/highlight is at the first letter of the name and then press send. Works on mine.

make sure you scrolled up to the name or number of the sender, the hit SEND (green phone) button . . . works with my BB the way Nextel User described . .

Seem like all of you can do this but me.
Just want to make sure, I'm talking about while you are viewing a text message from a friend. So you're in the text messaging area, scroll to a friend's name, hit the send key then it will call that person. Is this right? Again, I've done this all the time in my old Samsung phone but for some reasons not able to do with the 8220 Flip.

i am using 8220/4.6.0.195 (by tonight it will be 4.6.0.200)
