Smile Widows authentication between BES and web server(IIS server)

Hi Friends,

I am developing one browser based application for BB 8800. As part of this application i have to provide windows authentication between BES server and webserver(IIS server). since i am not aware of authentication can any one help me out how to provide windows authentication for my application.

Can i know whether all the Blackberry devices/browsers support windows authentication? and which authenication is supported by all BB devices/Browsers?

BES Enabled bb's are permissioned with the same credentials as the BES server itself.

If you're looking to handle proxy authentication, that is a separate issue.

Okay, From my limited experience, and it is limited... ( see my simulator post issues! ) Blackberrys do not support Windows authentification. A workaround I found when developing a web application on the blackberry, I set IIS to not use windows authentification. Then I used windows forms authentification, with the back end checking the users details against active directory using an LDAP query. This is a simple way to fix this, hope it helps.
