Here's a good one for the group -
I recently worked with RIM on a MAPI/CDO version issue. Below is what I'm now currently at:
BES 5.0.1 MR 2 (Bundle 117)
Server 2008 SP2 64-bit (ESX 4)
Exchange 2007 SP2 Rollup 1 (Server 2008 SP1 64-bit)
BES MAPI/CDO Info -
EXMAPI32.DLL: 6.5.8165.0 (New)
MAPI32.DLL: 1.0.2536.0
EMSMDB32.DLL: 6.5.8165.0 (New)
CDO.DLL: 6.5.8165.0 (New)
After updating MAPI/CDO, I'm now getting tons of Application Event ID 1639 Warnings:
The description for Event ID 1639 from source MSExchangeCDO cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
EX:/O=XXX/OU=XXXXX (XXXXXXXXXX)/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=XXXXXXX
Checking the registry for CDO.DLL registration, it shows -
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{3FA7DEB3-6438-101B-ACC1-00AA00423326}\InprocServer32
(Default) = C:\Program Files (x86)\ExchangeMapi\\cdo.dll
ThreadingModel = Both
The path shown above has double slashes, which of course is an invalid path. Anyone know if this is by design or did my recent uninstall/install go wonky?
