Markus, now that you have had the phone for a few days can you give us your initial impressions? Things you are happy with, things you are not, and things that may have surprised you about the phone?

Just wanted to quick post that this has been, thusfar, an awesome and helpful thread.
Thanks so much to everyone who supplied info and asked questions that I wouldn't have thought of.

Rogers wants to charge $10/month for GPS. Sounds like I can just turn off the wireless radio and save myself the cash as long as I have my maps already on the card. Sweet

I think someone answered "Yes" to this... That said, how many time zones can be added to the World Clock? Thanks!

What kind of case(if any) comes with the bold.
I'm surprised there has been no unboxing pictures or videos.

Rogers Bold will ship with:

device
battery
fake leather holster WITHOUT clip
stereo headset
travel charger
USB cable
& Deskstand! - I'm praying this does NOT change.

Ugh... Is it that hard???? I thought this was the high end BlackBerry Device for business users? Doesn't it seem like a World Clock would be a default application? Sheesh, it such a minimalistic application it should be on every BB. Don't get me wrong, I love the BB, and I will be there for the Bold on day one. I am just looking for perfection It's not like I am asking for a complicated application.

I would have thought GPS (ie the literal co-ordinates) would work just fine, but you wouldn't get the map as that's wholly dependent on data of some sort (WiFi delivered or otherwise).

Come on, where are your questions?

What device did you upgrade from? How would you compare its performance to your older Blackberry?

Is there any lag time, does it freeze or otherwise move sluggishly?

Please elaborate on the device's performance.

Thank you so much!!

I upgrade from the Curve. The Bold is much faster. Everything you do on the devices feels faster and smooth.

Is the Bold a significant and worthwhile upgrade over the Curve?

Now after nearly two weeks with the new BlackBerry Bold.... for me it´s the ultimative BlackBerry and I am using BlackBerry since 2003.

The Bold ist fast, comfortable to handle, great display, excellent sound usw..... I changed from a BB 8800 to the Bold and I am really happy that I make this move

My Bold is running together with a BES 4.1.6 and that´s a great and powerful combination.

RIM - Many thanks that you have created this great device

Regards from Germany
Markus
