Default Pandora over MDS ?

Please Login to Remove!

should this work ?
I have pandora sucessfully working over WiFi.
However, when I am not in my home WLAN, I also would like to have pandora.
I have set the IT policy to allow split pipe connections.

Still, when I start pandora, it tells me:
trying WAP, trying WAP2, trying MDS...... no connection.

I cannot enable TCP over APN, since then, I could not connect to pandora since it is only availible in US.

In my home network I have a VPN tunnel which routes all traffic to pandora to a US based IP. I would like to use pandora using the blackberry infrastructure to tunnel to my home network and then connect to pandora through the VPN.

Is this possible ?
The preferences setting in pandora is not very clear. It knows about APN, or Wifi, but not about MDS.
Still, when starting the application it tries MDS, so, maybe it might work, if I tweak my BES server ?

it should yes. I can get it in Canada when I am there on business. This proves it as Pandora isn't allowed in CA. It's effectively proxy'ing through the US BES to stream my beloved Pandora!!!

Thanks for this confirmation - now, what else can I change in either pandoras or the BES config to make this work for me too ?

did you have to do anything, and, what BES version do you run ?

I did a little more research on that matter:
If you are normally US based, and, acces pandora using direct TCP/IP via WAP, this will still work in any country, because your APN does not change when you are in a foreign country.

Have you tried to use wifi + pandora outside the US ?
