Default Backlight Question

Please Login to Remove!

Since using this BlackBerry i've noticed something that I sincerely feel is missing from what I have seen thus far with BlackBerry. I am looking for the ability to enable the backlight on keypress, like any normal cellphone. I am using BBLight which helps, and keeps the backlight on until I disable it again. What I am wondering is if it's possible through software to activate the backlight on keypress, once it's off....

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would appreciate it, thanks!

I'm not MUCH help here, but I have been using PocketDay to turn on the backlight as it comes out of the holster. Very nice feature of that software. I do wish it turned on the brightest backlight setting though.

Well I am using Pocketday also and have BBLight mapped to one of the keys. I can turn it on or off on command right on the keyboard by pressing the mapped key from the Pocketday ribbon. This way BBLight can stay on or the backlight can return to the timed Blackberry default. Works great for me.

Give it a try and see

UPDATE... New BBLight software is available and now can be customized. Check it out.
