I would go to .217 if your going to upgrade. Just make sure you do a wipe first, so that if you are having an issue, it won't carry over by doing an upgrade instead.

I guess I'll install .217 to the PC first.

I'm all messed up about .331. It's actually .190. I made the same mistake I made with you at the beginning of this thread.

Corey,

I can't get JL Cmder to connect. Is there a magic way to do this or another way to wipe the device?

It seems to be working. I'm just waiting for the long reboot after the install. The apps weren't unchecked or any different in the list before it started the reload.

I'm lost. I'm at the restore point (regular restore) & now even more apps are missing. I went to advanced, & it has a huge bunch greyed out.

ARRGH!!

I finally figured this out. Of course it was something I should have seen all along. The answer was that all these greyed-out apps were unchecked at the first install after JL Cmder ended & the RAM installed, so each app was never installed. I was looking for them after that, & they were greyed out because the database had no associated app to install to. This RIM stuff is either not easy to understand or else I'm getting old. It's probably some of both.

I was a wizard on the Palm & several other platforms years ago. Now it has come full circle with me in the idiot's seat.
