I had a problem with WiFi also in that it would not connect to my home network that was restored after the upgrade. I deleted the entry and then rescanned for the network and all was well again.

Lets hope there are some improvements around the battery charge time! Seems to take all damned day to charge the Bold up. Then a day for it to run out.
Full battery charging is 4 hours for me, and then 4 days of usage withouth charging.

Are you charging with the original travel charger that came with the device? I know that there are other USB chargers that don't have enough power to charge the Bold fully or take very long time.

How do I reload an OS, with the same version of OS? I installed (.150) , and the install didn't seem right (it hung, I diconnected and connected, and, it did finish), and, even though it SEEMS everything starts OK, I sitll would like to reload - but, when a newer version isn't there, I would like to know how to manually begin the OS reinsall ..

Default Icons aren't as clear

It could just be me but did anyone else notice that after installing the .144 version the icons on the home screen didn't look as clean or as tight as before

Almost like the res is off?

Default "Memory leak"

My friend and I recently both got the Bold. He loaded the new OS and I have not loaded it to this new unit. However, even with the new OS he is still having issues with this so called memory leak. I also notice this leak on my unit.
We both upgraded from the 8700 series.

I don't think RIM has fixed their so called glitches prior to launching this new Bold to market. I am on my 3rd BB in one month. My first I experienced hardware issues with the volume keys not responding. The second unit was good for 2 weeks then started crashing and restarting for no reason, plus had issues trying to move pics from device memory to my computer.
I'm hoping this 3rd one will be better but do notice the memory leak.
I contacted a RIM rep but all he could tell me is to call the carrier so they can logged the problems for a 'fix'. Like I have time to sit on a phone with tech support that usually knows less than I do about BB.

I love the feature of this unit, but can't handle all the 'issues'.

any new ideas on how to fix this issue please POST.
signed your friendly and frustrated Bold user!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000 Bold)

I've used both 144 and 150, and I would say go for the latter.

Hey Delta9,

Welcome to the Forums. Just an update.... if you look at the Sticky threads, you'll see that 4.6.0.190 is the newest actual release. =) .162 is pretty old now. Keep an eye on that sticky thread to stay up to date. Also, if you're daring enough, there's lots of beta software floating around. The newest one people seem to have their hands on now is 4.6.0.217. Working great for me! Keep up the reading and always post when/if you have any questions.... but remember to search first! =D Have a good one!
