I'm usually around 1.5 MB.. it got really low the other day at about 300KB and my emails started to get deleted from the BB and not the server. I just did a battery pull and it's at 20.3MB.

20.3MB after a battery pull?! have you done alt+back key to check what apps are running because some apps take up a lot of memory if they're running in the background!

and 1.5mb usually?! do you have a lot of 3rd party apps?

1.5mb is shocking, quite frankly. What OS are you running?

On start up or after a battery pull my Bold has 29mb, half way through the day it is down to 14mb, I have to perform multiple battery pulls in a day (2-3 times).
Software that I have on my Bold are:
Facebook
BerryWeather
BBM 5.0
Garmin Mobile
SocialScope Lite
SlingPlayer Mobile
Qik
Google Maps
Windows Live Messenger
Mobile Data Alerter
Mobile Bill Tracker
Shazam
BBScanner
nuTsie
Nobex - Radio Companion
MaraTick
XBerry Live
Google Sync
QuickPull Pro
FlyCast
Flickr
CameraMuteApp
Blackberry App World
BricjBreaker
Texas Hold Em King2
Sudoku
Ka-Glom!
BBTetris
Pacman
Blackjack

Thats all

I am starting to get tired of all the Battery Pulls required, time to trade in my Bold for a Successor

Instead of a battery pull, try using the app, QuickPull Pro.

Except, pulling the battery frees up memory
and installing an app that frees up memory, also takes up memory!

It takes up very little memory and is less of a pain than removing the battery cover, pulling the battery and replacing the cover. If expense is an issue, try the lite version which is FREE. I have the Pro version which allows for a little customization.

What's wrong with just the alt-arrow up-del reset. It seems to give me the same result as a battery pull

I upgraded to 5.0 then realized that i can't use BBM5.0 so I downgraded back to 4.6 lost most of my apps. after re-downloading my previous app my memory is at 49mb after a battery pulls, now thats amazing
