The module list hasn't changed since the first version and everything that has changed is all to make it user friendly. To be sure, though, I've run through the module list again but I'm not seeing anything that would cause the Spell Checker to not work unless your language is set to something other than English, if this is the case those modules are removed.

Language is definitely set to English... Hmmm... Do you know which modules are the spell checker?

Thanks!

Checking into that now. I'm still noticing that auto-correct is working.

These are the three spell check modules that I'm seeing:
  • net_rim_bb_active_spellcheck.cod
  • net_rim_bb_spellcheck.cod
  • net_rim_tid_spell_check.cod
All three are accounted for in the Java directory and my 8900 (Options>Applications>[Menu key]>Modules).

I sincerely doubt it was your application then. (Which I LOVE by the way.)

I guess I may have to re-load the device if I can't figure out which module I need to re-add or re-fresh or something.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

I did a look around, here and other sites, and the common thought is to do a backup, master reset, and load everything back.

Just noticed something, though now I remember it's been this way for a while. My spell check menu in options is gone. So, I'm gonna try a few things.
  1. Backup data.
  2. Master reset.
  3. Check if menu is present.
  4. If it is, restore data.
  5. If it isn't, pull spell check modules from most current version.

Last part is just for kicks but I'm curious of it'll work.

EDIT: Dinna change anything that I can see. Still no spell check menu. Wonder if this option was never there unlike the 8320...

I have all three of those modules on my device and in my 'Java' directory.

It was definitely there! I'm actually looking at a friend's device that also has .231, and her's has spell check working perfectly. This so strange.

Yeah, I agree. Thankfully this is not a byproduct of Module Remover, but that doesn't solve the issue at hand.
