Man, that's too much trouble for me, even if the 8830 OS was leaked prior to an 8330 beta becoming available.

Unless there is something horribly wrong with the latest release and I do not want to go back to a previous version, I *might* try this if it was the other way around between the 2 beta OS's.

RIM actually has a beta of 4.5.0.133 for the 8830 CDMA. Will be installing it shortly to see what's different.

Currently have 4.5.0.127

I think you've inverted the numbers. 4.5.0.133 is out for the 8330, the latest 8830 in the wild is still 101, sans OP's original link.

sibermage: the latest i've been able to find is 4.5.0.131. the only .133 i can find in the "usual places" is mislabeled and actually .131. have you confirmed yours is indeed .133? if so, not to ask where you found it (keeping with the rules), but was it a generally "out there" leak or obtained through unusual connections?

Not sure where you're seeing that, but it is not on the Blackberry update site.

Default 131 vs 127

My Girlfriend currently has a Verizon 8830WE... Its running 4.2.2.196. I want to upgrade it to 4.5 but I am confused. 131 came out before 127, Why would you want to downgrade to 127? I understand that the 131 is for the 8330 Curve and the 127 is a official release for the Bell Mobile 8830. Also installing a Curve OS on a 8830, wont it cause problems since the curve has a few features the 8830 does not <ex. video and phone camera>

Thanks!
