Default Stop Alerts

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys..I have a friend who brought a used blackberry. He switched his sim card and all is working well except he keeps getting these 401 alerts.
Usually it's weather for long Island..lol, looks like the person who owned the unit before him subscribed to a msn/yahoo alert. Is there anyway to stop this from coming in? It would seem that those alerts are setup to send via PIN cause if not they should have stopped coming in when he switched sim cards.
Any help would be great...

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Interesting.

Is there a way to grab the source?
I am thinking weather bug?
Weather channel?

well can he determine where they are coming from? Yahoo can't send PIN alerts. It sounds to me like an SMS message alert.

I would look at his service books and see if there is any old email address still registered on the device, as well.

Can't be SMS cause the SIM and a different phone number is involved. The previous owner was probably sending the alerts to the BIS email address.
