Still no new news on a 9650 on Verizon?! I'm dyin' over here. Last I heard it was speculated to be released on May 27th.
My 8830 track ball is hosed, and I've been eligble for a new phone for like 4 months now. What's the hold up!
I'm about to jump ship and get an HTC incredible, but I don't really think I'll be a fan of the touch screen.
Anyone heard anything?

Oh yeah, forgot to ask where is the 9650 supposed to be discussed. The 9700 group says it includes the Bold 2. Seems like the group descriptions need to be updated.

You are posting in the 9600 series forum.
The 9650 is a 9600 series.
Therefore, it belongs here (for now).
And due to them naming in a Bold, its really a Bold 3.

It's not listed as .60 ... it's listed as .6
They're just rounding off to 1 decimal place.

From Blackberry.com: Stylish design (4.4” x 2.4” x .56” and 4.8 oz.) with glossy black finish and chrome highlights
Link posted by TXLady does show as 0.6" but whether it is rounded off or
not, it is still different, or confusing. Some listing have height as 4.43"
also confusing. It's just that I really like my Tour 9630 and plan to get
the Bold (nee Tour 2) when I can renew.

Sorry, that is not my intent for the posts. It's just at my age, I can get
confused easy enough, without trying too hard.
If it sounded picky, I really didn't mean it to.
I'll make an effort to phrase my posts better!

Got a note from my Verizon rep:
June 3 for the Tour2/Bold on the Enterprise side
June 17 for the consumer side

I'll have to see if I can find the link later but in one of my feeds I think yesterday, they showed 9630 and 9650 and how the USB port on the 9650 was in a slightly different place (maybe 1/8" diff). Also quoted RIM as saying all OEM accessories except skins would work for both and that 9650 OEM cases would be backward compatible but 9630 skins would not work with 9650 because of USB location. Seems to imply same dimensions.
Edit: Found link.
Take Note: MicroUSB Port Location on the BlackBerry Bold 9650 IS Slightly Different Than on the Tour 9630 | CrackBerry.com

i was lucky enough to be given a 9650 at wes. i noticed the usb port location was a bit different when i went to put the skin on, and then again with the otterbox case (since it has the plug that goes in the usp port.
at least with the normal rim skins, a pair of scissors or an exacto knife can remedy the issue.

I just upgraded from the 9630 to the 9650 and I can confirm they're identical in external dimensions. The micro-usb charging port was moved maybe 1/2 a centimeter, but that's the only external thing that could effect using an old accessory like a case. And even that probably won't matter since the change was SO slight.
Because of the trackpad replacing the trackball, the keypad has been altered slightly. The Send, Menu, Escape, and End keys are slightly wider so the bottom row of Shift, 0, Space, Sym, and Shift are more narrow. Again, pretty minor stuff.

Wirelessly posted
I talked with my VZW section manager yesterday. Confirmed was the pull back from launch due to a software issue which caused it to fail internal testing. He did not know what the issue was. Also, he said word was early June, but because of the problem, there was not a set date.
He also said that nationwide stock for the 9630 is down to 50,000 (not very many), so look for the demise of the Tour on Verizon. :(
