My opinion, I like it. I am simultaneously evaluating evernote versus reqall.
Evernote is organized a bit more around a topic, a bit like google notebook was IIRC. Reqall is organized more around a calendar. Awhile back I was a fan of jott and iwantsandy but those have died, I think.
I currently have reqall on my rss feed, the firefox extension, and the bb app. I have the evernote desktop app, the firefox extension, and the bb app. I also have vlingo on my bb but I haven't used it in a long time.
Reqall has much better voice recognition for me than does vlingo. I used to drive down the road and use vlingo for a note to self but it would be so convoluted that I'd sometimes be unable to interpret the transcribed text. Reqall's free version (I think, once the trial of the full version expires) does not allow the use of email to send in a new entry. The full version does allow it though, by emailing post.at.reqallmail.com. I think you can also somehow update/delete via an email response in reqall once it emails you your post.
The process of getting to the "add by text" and pushing to start and all that is not so easy that I feel comfortable doing it while driving yet. I haven't tried the add by calling. That is probably pretty easy and assigning a speed dial would help. I don't know if that is a free or fee feature. That tastes a lot like jott.
One comment on evernote, it is pretty cool to be able to take a photo of something -- say your starbucks or library card number or your handwritten shopping list (or as I am shopping for a used car, the window sticker) -- and email it to evernote and have it recognize enough words from the photo to autotag it so you can find it easily. I'd love if it were full OCR so I could photograph a printed page and get it in full OCRed text.
I didn't find the post.at.reqallmail.com info on the recall.com website so I emailed them along with a few questions. My middle of the night email was answered fully and completely in a very helpful tone very early in the morning.
I'm not interesting enough to worry about the privacy of my info but if you are, reading the privacy policies can't hurt.
There's my fiftieth of a buck.
