I have a log in a csv format on my bes. which program should i use to open it to get a more readable format. Im using notepad but the log is all jumbled up. any tips or ideas?

Those files are in Unicode so it would not show up properly. Best to convert it to ASCII first. You can do this by running this command

type PhoneCallLog_20070728.CSV > PhoneCallLog.CSV

Openoffice Calc is another option - it correctly detects that the data is Unicode for a start. You don't need to install it as the default handler for any file types; just "open with" or stick a shortcut to it on the "send to" menu.
