Default Question about OS Upgrading...

Please Login to Remove!

When upgrading the os, is it always necessary to remove the "vendor.xml" file, or is that upgrade specific?

Thanks.

It's necessary when installing an OS that was released by a different carrier than the one you're loading the OS to. Removing the vendor.xml file has no impact on what is installed to the BB. It only impacts whether the OS will even install or not.

^^ correct, if your upgrade is from the same carrier to which the device is branded, you won't need to remove the vendor file.
