Default Help in moving contacts from Palm Treo

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my 8830 and already love it. One problem I am having is moving my contacts from Palm desktop to the 8830. Our IT guy moved them over, except there were only 105 contacts, and I actually have over 700 in the Palm desktop contacts. We are using Lotus Notes with the 8830. Any ideas how I can do that?

Default Use Desktop manager

If you have Desktop manager installed, V4.3, there is an option on there to "switch handhelds" and it is designed exactly for this. It will either migrate your information if you upgrade your BlackBerry or help you transfer from either a Palm or Windows Mobile device. Without Desktop Manager, I don't have many ideas. Good luck.

Sync your Palm with Outlook! You can do this with the Palm software. Then it is not problem to sync your BB with Outlook with the BB Desktop manager.

This would work too but I didn't suggest it as he said they are using Lotus Notes.

This method worked. I synched my contacts (there were over 800 of them) to my BB using the Desktop software. Then I had to sync from my BB to Lotus Notes. This took about 3 tries or passes until they all showed up, but it worked.
