I have had users complaining that when they read a message on their handheld, they messages still appears as being unread on their handheld.

Server is 4.1.3.16 and the handhelds are 8700's.

What is the status of the messages when performed a "Reconcile Now" option on the device.

Try recreating the MAPI profil again.
