Default How long should it take to upgrade from 4.1.3 to 4.1.6?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Looking for some feedback...how long should it take to upgrade my BES from 4.1.3 to 4.1.6 MR7 (Domino)?
It's just an over the top upgrade...so I can't imagine it would take too long. Would appreciate hearing from those of you who've done it already.

I am hoping to be able to do this during business hours...while most of my BB users are NOT using their blackberries.

Thanks much!

I would recommend a downtime of about 2 hours. It may NOT exhaust all the 2 hours, yet you can use the time left for testing.

Note: Always take a backup of your database.

Cheers

Just read all the DOCs and domino requirements.

The BES upgrade usually is fairly painless.
The domino part can be fun if you dont read the manual

If you are doing it over the weekend, then expect a half day, just in case system failed or crash after the update. Anything is possible for BES. Make sure you can do a quick image after you shut down the BES before upgrade. It is much easier to re-image the server than backup from the backup system, U know.

Thanks for your responses! It was fast & easy...no more than 30 minutes - and a VM snapshot before I did anything was nice to have...just in case anything blew up on me ;)

Fun part came later...moving BES to a sparkly new Domino 8.5 server. Still doing a little battle with that one, but it's running!

What's the fun? When I go to add a new user, it timestamps the database entry 5 hours in the future. Go figure. I have RIM working on that one!
