Default What 4GB microSD chip is proven to work in Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I want to upgrade to a 4GB chip. I have T-Mobile 8100 with OS 107. I believe it supports 4GB chips. Looking at the market, there are warnings to check compatibility with your phones/PDA.

My question to this group, what Micro SDHC 4GB chip actually works in your Pearl? What is the reported capacity and do you use a T-Mobile (and what OS).

Thanks. I just don't want to make a mistake when I purchase one!!!

just make sure you get a genuine ScanDisk memory card and you will be good!

A Micro SDHC chip is NOT supported in the Pearl, I don't believe. A Micro SD card is. So make sure your Pearl is getting just the Micro SD cards.

Another Moderator here on the board reported a good deal on this one:
Amazon.com: SanDisk 4GB MicroSD / Transflash with SD Adapter (BULK Packaging): Electronics

That one works, and is a good price. I purchased one from Ecost.com last week, but it is out of stock now.

Cory.. as mentioned before, quit calling them "Scan" Disk. It's SanDisk.

Counterfeits might be called ScanDisk so to throw people off, so best to not contribute to their crime by telling people to get a ScanDisk.

Uh... some misinformation there. That's not correct. See my chip currently using on the Pearl.

Oh, that's my mistake then. I had seen that post before but didn't follow up on it (that is the post I remembered when I posted the above information). I had thought that it wasn't working. Well, that is my mistake then. :Get's up on soapbox: Micro SDHC cards ARE supported in the Pearl!

scratched off the "C"?
Look again.

So SanFran, are you eating "OrnFlakes" for breakfast?

Where'd you steal that C from?

Actually, one of my better PhotoChop jobs. Had to type "SCANDISK," select a font, correct the tint, manually round off the corners, then add the texture to match the 4GB lettering.

Took all of 5 minutes.
